Param Pujya Dada Bhagwan’s Punyatithi

Saturday December 31, 2016

Even today we feel His Infinite extraordinary divine exuberance!

Param Pujya Dada Bhagwan was a Gnani Purush, who lived in the current time cycle and graced thousands of people with the knowledge of the Self.

He left His mortal body on January 2, 1988. Hence this day is celebrated as Param Pujya Dadashri’s punyatithi (death anniversary). He always said that, "I do not live in sansar (worldly life) at all, not even for a moment. I remain in the Self. I live constantly in the state of the Self (moksha), constantly maintaining spiritual awareness." And, the same spiritual awareness was present within Him even at the time of His death. This is known as samadhi maran’ or a blissful death. Even though there might be physical suffering, the Self doesn’t experience any of it. He says that, there is absolutely no suffering during a samadhi maran, neither to the person nor to those around him. Such a state is possible and easy to attain for those who have taken Gnan (knowledge of the Self).

Even though Param Pujya Dadashri has left His mortal body, He is still living amongst us in subtle form bestowing His blessings and energy to help us remain in our Absolute Self and progress ahead onto the path of liberation.
