Raksha Bandhan: Get the Ultimate Protection

For most of us, the sacred festival of Raksha Bandhan is associated with protection and love, more commonly to between brother and sister. However, the ancient roots of this festival perhaps give us a broader interpretation, including even the spiritual significance.

Do you remember the sacred help of Draupadi to Krishna and vice-versa?

The relation between the two symbolizes the fact that no one in this world can defeat the ultimate protection from the Supreme Being. It shows how Lord Krishna protected Draupadi with an infinitely lengthy sari, in return for healing His wound with just one cloth piece.

Nothing could overcome this protection, right? What does this suggest?

It simply conveys that our Almighty God help takes the remaining 99 steps, if we just take only 1 with full heart, on the exclusive spiritual path. This assistance from the Supreme Lord is divine and has no match or alternative in this world. At the subtlest or absolute level, we become worthy of this divine protection only when we renounce our wretched, finite egoism.

This renunciation for permanent protection is so simple – just surrender it heartily to a Gnani, Param Pujya Dadashri, in whom that egoism is already gone forever. This is His only desire so that you can identify your true Self within, without much struggle as He faced before becoming self-realized in 1958.

Surrendering the ego with full faith and heart makes us worthy of His divine protection. This protection is such that it not only makes you remain in peace amidst several adversities of this era but also in infinite, permanent bliss of the Pure Self within, 24x7.

So, why not tie a bond of permanent protection to Param Pujya Dadashri, this coming Raksha Bandhan, so that we can free ourselves from all karma bondages for rejoicing in the state of complete liberation?
