Happy New Year – 2015 is here!

Wednesday December 31, 2014

It is time to say goodbye to 2014 and say hello to 2015!!! Some people may like this if they had a ‘not so good 2014’, while others may worry about what 2015 will bring. Some will reflect upon the good memories of 2014, while even others will gear up for the challenges expected in 2015.

The majority of us will sit down to make resolutions for 2015, isn’t it? These resolutions will touch different spheres of our life - personal, professional or social. All these resolutions are made in order to make our life happy, and give us a sense of achievement.

This time, how about also considering a resolution to make others happy? How about serving and helping people? Why don’t we think along those lines as well for the year 2015?

But again, one wonders – Why help others? How can I help others? And what are the benefits of helping others?

New Year 2015

Param Pujya Dadashri has said, “You will not incur any loss or experience any obstacles in life if it is spent serving and obliging others. All your wishes will be fulfilled provided you remain free from interference and restlessness, but if you do not, then none of your wishes will be fulfilled. Restlessness will not allow you to sleep at night. These wealthy businessmen are not able to sleep for days because all they have done throughout their lives is cheat and rob people.

So be obliging. If you are going somewhere, ask people if you can run an errand for them while you are out. What is wrong in asking? Someone may tell you that they don't trust you, so in that case, ask for their forgiveness. Those who do trust you, be sure to help them.

So come, let’s make our New Year happier by resolving to have an obliging nature!
