Happy Birthday Pujyashree!!!

We all know that the country of India is a country of spirituality. For centuries, this sacred land has born countless saints and Gnanis (the Enlightened beings), under whose care, the country’s cultural and ethical fabric has taken shape and with whose nurture, people’s inner urge for spiritual progress is invoked and inspired. May 9th is the birthday of one such Atmagnani, born in this great country. A mere glance of His makes everyone pray, ‘By observing You, May I become as Humble as You!’

On His birthday, He, despite being an Atmagnani  revered by all, bows down with utmost humility before all of us and seeks our blessings for carrying out the work of salvation of the world, assigned to Him by Param Pujya Dada Bhagwan and Pujya Niruma, until His last breath, with complete purity. This gesture is quite overwhelming, as we get to see an outright reflection of His humble being!

He is so divinely blessed that whatever He wishes or prays for, His prayers are answered in no time!! Yet, He bows and asks for blessings from all of us. Such is the Humility that forms His core, and that is why everyone loves Him more and more!

We all may have heard, “Namey te sahu ne Gamey”, meaning ‘Everyone likes a person who is humble’

While explaining what being humble means, Param Pujya Dada Bhagwan says, To bend down completely to the other person, even before that person has gestured to bend down a little, to bend down even if that person is arrogant or inflexible with him. Otherwise, what is human nature like? To retaliate and show arrogance, if the other person is being arrogant. But to yield in at that time is a sign (of humility that suggests) he is heading towards ultimate liberation.” This is exactly how Pujyashree is.

Any Seva without anger, pride, greed and deceit, goes towards the side of liberation (Moksha)

The service of imparting knowledge of the Self to the spiritual seekers and resolving their queries such that they can reach their destination, is rendered by Pujyashree very much without anger, pride, greed and deceit; with all the nobility, humanity and commitment, maintaining total sincerity and utmost purity. That’s the reason why even the most elderly want to follow Him!

Pujyashree Deepakbhai explains:

“When a tree gets fruits on it, do the branches start bending or do they stand upright? They bend…. As the person develops, he becomes more humble, more courteous. The ego then does not interfere and meddle. Even when one has the authority and power, he does not exercise it. He would always believe, ‘I am smaller than everyone here.’ A person with good values is full of humility.”

Anyone who Sees Him wants to Become like Him!

But how? Pujya Deepakbhai teaches how we also can develop this virtue of humility:

“It is very simple. If we see someone being rigid, not bending, at that time, we should not see his mistake or get agitated that, ‘what type of a person is he?. He is a useless person.’ We should not look at his faults. On the contrary, we should think, ‘Oh! We do not like what he is doing. But in case something similar happens to us, do we also do the same (behave in the manner the other person did)?’ We should check that! Then we will find that even we tend to make similar mistakes as him. If we look within and repent for our mistake, then we will be rid of that mistake. And if someone is straightforward, humble and down to earth, we must feel, ‘He has such good qualities.’ By appreciating these qualities in others, we too will acquire them!”

Pujyashree Deepakbhai is called an Atmagnani because He dwells in the experience of the Soul. And for us, the followers of Gnani, Gnani verily is our own Soul! So on this day, when it is Pujya Deepakbhai’s birthday, with absolute humility and oneness, to Him let us all pray, ‘By observing You, May I become as Humble as You!’ And with His gracious blessings, we shall surely get there!
