Happy Birthday Pujya Niruma!

Friday November 30, 2018

2nd December is Pujya Niruma’s Birthday, so let us all celebrate this grand occasion!

Pujya Niruma achieved the real heights of the true Self, by following the path laid out by Param Pujya Dada Bhagwan. Today let us study one of her qualities – her flexibility - how she operated and dealt with others using that quality, which will enable all of us to learn and grow in our lives.

Flexbility by putting the needs of others’ above her own

Many a times in the midst of doing her work, no matter how important, if someone interrupted or needed her help she would immediately help that person. For example, if she was busy editing an “Aptavani”, if someone would come and ask her for help or some advice she would without getting irritated or disturbed, but with same love and concern, attend to that person and solve their problem and then go back to her work.

When someone comes to you for your help, you find yourself at a junction. The other person cannot move forward until you give them a solution, so you first have to help them. Once they are able to move forward, only then can you move forward. This is why she never kept anyone waiting for her help.

Flexibility by switching between multiple tasks

Pujya Niruma never felt that any work is big or small for her, whether it was giving a spiritual discourse or doing routine chores in the kitchen. She was always ready for all types of work. Whenever she used to stay at any follower’s house, many times she would cook for the entire house herself and feed them delicious food, thus spreading her love. She could easily switch over between different types of work and that too in an instance.

Flexibility by never siding with her mistakes

Pujya Niruma was very receptive to even the minutest of cautionary hints of her mistakes from Param Pujya Dadashri. She could understand what Param Pujya Dadashri wanted to convey even if He did not say anything. Then she would do analysis and get to the root of her mistake, such that the mistake would never repeat again.

Flexibility by remaining patient while molding others

Pujya Niruma used to accept people as they are and while molding them, remained very patient. She even waited years before telling someone their mistake, if she felt that it was not the right time to tell them.

Flexibility by changing the direction of her life

Pujya Niruma was a gynecologist by profession and her intention was to become a doctor to serve humanity. After meeting Param Pujya Dadashri, she thought, ‘As a medical doctor, I can only alleviate physical ailments. However, if I were to serve the Gnani, I can help so many people who are suffering from mental, emotional, and worldly ‘ailments’; as Dadashri would be able to grace them with this unique knowledge of Akram Vignan.’ She resolved that there could be nothing better than spending Her life helping Param Pujya Dadashri spread this knowledge instilling peace and liberating people from worries and suffering. ‘There are so many doctors to help people with their health, but there is only one Gnani Purush to liberate them!' Thus, she traded a life filled with worldly comforts for one of devoted service to the Gnani Purush.

Param Pujya Dadashri used to say that “Niruben was a true seeker!” so all forms of insight developed in her in order to become flexible and at the same time she did not miss out on her goal. She had recognized the true value of Param Pujya Dadashri, that led her to become truly flexible. Thus, she was molded and equipped with numerous qualities in order to achieve her goal of spreading the spiritual science of Akram Vignan in whole world.

So let us all on Pujya Niruma’s Birthday, pay tribute to her by deciding and trying to achieve at least a small level of flexibility in us, where we obstruct our own progress because of our own rigidity.
