It is the 9^th of May, and our Pujya Deepakbhai’s Birthday! Every year we read and learn about a quality Pujya Deepakbhai possesses and try to encompass it into our lives. This year we will learn about how he conducted his business.

Generally, you find every other man doing business and earning his livelihood. So what was unique about the way Pujya Deepakbhai conducted his business? Pujya Deepakbhai conducted his business with honesty, sincerity and utmost purity. These are the very qualities that made him well known in his field, and enabled him to reach the top of his field.

After meeting Param Pujya Dada Bhagwan, Pujya Deepakbhai continued his studies and attained a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He started with a small job and later started his own independent business as a Consulting Engineer. Armed with a deep knowledge of textile machinery he utilized his expertise and intuitive skills to help many famous textile mills in India to function better - in a cost effective and efficient manner. He believed in quality over any other monetary benefits and this made him different than the rest.

Now let us see what Param Pujya Dada Bhagwan has to say regarding Business Ethics:

“If someone were to ask what religion he should practice in his business, I would tell him that he should follow these three principles:

1) Ethical practice! The flow of money may increase or decrease. Never become unethical.

2) Maintain an obliging nature. If you do not have any money, at least ask people if you can be of any help to them. You can run errands for them instead. This is called an obliging nature.

3) Do not even harbor a desire of expecting something in return for what you do for others. The whole world has expectations in return for services they render; whether you wish it or not, you will be rewarded. There is always a reaction to any action. Your desires are nothing but actually begging on your part. They go to waste.”
