Shri Simandhar Swami's Janma Kalyanak
Saturday April 11, 2015
Shri Simandhar Swami is a living God, a Tirthankar, who is present in another world known as Mahavideh Kshetra. He has conquered His anger-pride-deceit-greed and therefore, His darshan has a soothing effect on everyone.
It is millions of miles away, in the north eastern direction from our world.
Who is a Tirthankar?
A Tirthankar is a person who has conquered the cycle of birth and death, and who provides a bridge for others to go to moksha (liberation).
What is the significance of a current living God?
One makes progress in the worldly life by worshipping the Tirthankars of the past, but one does not gain any benefit towards liberation. Liberation is only attained through the ones who are living and present.
What can we gain from Him?
It is said that Shri Simandhar Swami has a special bond with our world. By praying to Him, He can guide us on the path of permanent spiritual bliss. Devotion towards Him can lead us to Him in the next life and in His presence; we too can attain final liberation.
What can we do?
On this auspicious occasion of Shri Simandhar Swami’s Janma Kalyanak (birthday), let’s send our deepest obeisance to Him and seek His blessings for spiritual progress in this life and ask for His shelter in the next.
