Happy Birthday Pujya Niruma!

Pujya Niruben Amin, delightedly referred to as Pujya Niruma, was born on 2^nd December, 1944 to a wealthy family in Aurangabad, India. A doctor by profession, she had an unflinching desire to dedicate her entire life to relieve people of their pain and miseries.

Pujya Niruma met Param Pujya Dada Bhagwan on 29^th June 1968, and at first sight she completely surrendered to the Gnani (Self-Realized One). She resolved to serve Param Pujya Dadashri to help Him spread the unique knowledge of Akram Vignan to the world. With the objective to instill peace and eventually liberate people from their mental, emotional and worldly sufferings, she traded in her life of worldly comforts, for a life of service of the Gnani.

Pujya Dadashri never forgot the kindness of someone who served Him even one cup of tea in His life and Pujya Niruma served Him for 20 years. As a result, Pujya Dadashri took on the responsibility of taking Pujya Niruma all the way to ultimate liberation. Param Pujya Dadashri had said, “Niruben, you have nursed me like a mother, served me like a daughter, and have served me like a nurse.” He added, “I have to take her [Niruma] to Moksha— ultimate liberation”. In turn, Pujya Niruma had a strong intent and once told Pujya Dadashri in her mind that, ‘You have taken my responsibility for going to moksha, but I will not come alone. I will bring everyone with me. What is the fault of all these people, they have not met you but when you were there, they were also there, so why should they miss out?’

Only one who is pure and has a firm desire for the salvation of the world can utter such compassionate words!

Pujya Niruma’s final message was that we should, ‘Live with love.’ She furthermore, ensured this by extracting a promise from everyone by adding, ‘Promise?’ All we have to do is to make this promise. We are fortunate to have the blessings, compassion as well as the continued subtle presence of Pujya Niruma. Let us resolve to follow her footsteps sincerely and make her heartfelt desire and promise to Param Pujya Dadashri come true!
