Mahavir Jayanti

Mahavir Jayanti is the birth anniversary of Lord Mahavir. On this auspicious occasion let’s look at the definition of one of His Mahavrats – Satya (Truth) as per Param Pujya Dadashri’s spiritual knowledge, “What is Satya (truth)? When no living being is hurt through speech, is not hurt through conduct or one does not think anything bad for the other person; [that] is the greatest truth. It is the greatest principle!”

On this spiritual day why don’t we decide to adopt this one vow - Truth (Satya) - with its unique perspective, into our lives? What do you say?

Happy Ram Navmi

Ram Navmi -2015

Ram Navmi is a celebration of Lord Ram’s birth. In honor of this joyous occasion why don’t we learn an important lesson from Lord Ram’s life. On the night before His coronation as King, Lord Ram followed his father’s wish and left for a 14 year-long exile the very next day. All this was in order to finish His karmas.

So why don’t we try to apply this understanding and finish our karmas? Param Pujya Dadashri says, “If someone bothers you, you should understand that you must have done something bad to him in your past life, and now he is returning the favor. So you must resolve the situation calmly and peacefully. But because you cannot remain peaceful, you end up sowing new seeds of karma there is only one way to deal with karmas bound from the previous life and that is through peace and equanimity. You should not have a single bad thought about other people. You should simply feel that you are experiencing your account and that whatever the person may be doing to you is all on account of your own karma. You should understand that you are suffering because of your own previous bad deeds. Only then is there any freedom.”

Pujya Niruma’s 9th Punyatithi

Puyja Niruma, fondly known as Niruma, was a medical doctor by profession. On July 8 1968, she attained Self-Realization from Param Pujya Dadashri. This realization came into her experience and helped her even when her father passed away. After this experience Pujya Niruma decided to spend her life to help fulfill Param Pujya Dadashri’s mission for the salvation of the world.

Due to the fact that the love she showered on everyone around her was incomparable and unconditional, she became lovingly addressed as 'Niruma' - a Mother, an Embodiment of pure love. Her loving nature was able to provide people with a comfortable, open environment where they could not only share their problems with her, but also receive a solution from her.

On March 19 2006, when Pujya Niruma left her mortal body her final message to all was - "Live with Love...Promise?” So what can we do keep her promise? In order to keep her promise we first need to understand the correct meaning of pure love, which Pujya Niruma made everyone experience till her last breath.

Param Pujya Dadashri says, “Real love is divine. Real love begins the moment one begins to understand one’s Real Self (the Soul).” But where can one find such real love in this day and age? Param Pujya Dadashri explains, “All diseases can be abolished through love. You will find it from the Gnani Purush or from His ‘followers’ (mahatmas).”

On 6 March 1971, Pujya Deepakbhai received the Knowledge of the Self from Param Pujya Dada Bhagwan. Before this Pujya Deepakbhai did not find pleasure in the worldly life, but after receiving this Knowledge his life completely changed.

This knowledge ignited within him, the continuous contemplation of the Self, to the point that, in 1977, Pujya Dadashri noted that Pujya Deepakbhai’s level of awareness had reached such a great height, which no one in the last 2500 years had reached.

Happy Maha Shivratri!

On the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivratri seekers never forget to chant ‘Shivoham, Shivoham’ meaning I am Shiva, I am Shiva - there is no distinction between Shiva and my true Self. But what is the true meaning of Shiva?

Param Pujya Dadashri explains, “Due to wrong belief, [one] became jiva - that which lives and dies. One is a Shiva, but illusion has arisen; wrong belief has set in. It does not take long for jiva to become Shiva. When a Gnani Purush fractures the wrong belief and replaces it with the right belief, one becomes the Self again, one becomes Shiva.”

During the Self Realization Ceremony this wrong belief is broken and the right belief that ‘I am a Pure Soul’ sets in, making one Shiva. So why not take advantage and go from jiva to Shiva in the true sense, by taking part in a Self Realization Ceremony near you?
