International Spiritual Teenagers Akram Retreat (I-STAR) – 2012
August 21st, 2012A 15-day retreat, I-star, was held from 28th July to 10th August in Simandhar City, Adalaj (India). 45 participants traveled from the US, UK, Kenya, Brunei and Oman.
During the retreat participants learned the application of Param Pujya Dada Bhagwan’s basic principles of adjust everywhere, avoid clashes, positivity, respect for parents and elders, the consequences of opinions, selfless seva, the science of chit, pratikraman and most important of all the value of purity.
The participants got to see a glimpse of traditional Indian culture and heritage during the Jatra to Kutch (Gujarat, India) where they saw traditional living, learned Kutchi construction techniques and crafts like block printing, pottery and natural dyeing.
They enjoyed bhakti at the Trimandir in Bhuj and visited the famous 72 Jinalay temple near Mandvi (Gujarat, India).
They celebrated Rakshabandhan and Janmashtami at the Adalaj Trimandir in the presence of Pujya Deepakbhai. Each participant got Pujya Deepakbhai’s personal touch and keys for spiritual progress.

Janmashtami Celebration
August 12th, 2012Thousands of Mahatmas (followers) and new visitors came to Trimandir, Adalaj and celebrated the festival of Janmashtami with lot of Bhakti and joy. The entire mandir complex was filled with people. A puppet show and video on Worries was organized for new comers. Pujya Deepakbhai gave darshan (blessings) to followers and new visitor. This was followed by Bhakti until Midnight – the time to celebrate Lord Shree Krishna’s birthday.
The function ended by singing Lord Shree Krishna’s arti.
